Chapter 13

Senthil lay gasping on the ground, blood gushing out from his chest. His sister was crying loudly over his body. Ghazali was clutching his leg in pain; trying to pry out the bullet, which only led to more pain and more blood oozing out. Mr. Guru, holding his gun, and the other officers ran in. "My...God...what's this? A...kidnap? My...wait...those 4 are your friends!" Mr. Guru shouted as he stared at the gang. They all nodded frantically in agreement. "Guys, hurry up untie these people. Arrest that boy there and please somebody carry that poor boy!" Mr. Guru cried out. The other officers ran forward to carry out their duties. As soon as they were untied, the gang ran towards Senthil. The colour on his face was draining out very quickly. "My god...the bullet's in his cchest...oh...oh..." Zahira moaned. "You girls, bring Senthil's sister. We can handle him" Firdaus said. Mrs. Mani had marched towards Ghazali and unleashed her powerful words. Even the officers were afraid to stop her. Ghazali was cowering under her. Ghazali's men tried to run away, but failed miserably. Together, Legolas and Firdaus carried Senthil. Only Baihakki was daring enough to pull Mrs. Mani away to allow the officers to handcuff Ghazali. The girls supported Senthil's sobbing sister. "Wait! Sir...there are more captives! They are our classmates and their family! Come on..only you know where they are!" Nury asked Senthil's sister. She wiped her tears and led the way. They turned a corner and after a distance, a huge well lit room was seen and inside was Shafiq, Faeez, and their families, all tied up. Once they were untied, "You came!" Shafiq cried out in relief. "Well...ya" The gang replied humbly. "This is crazy! I need to call in more boats!" Mr. Guru cried out. With everyone untied, and Ghazali and his men handcuffed, they made their way to the sea.

"Its Vik, Nad, Firdaus and Deb!...handcuffed?!" Nisa exclaimed. "Oh, sorry about that. They put up a really excellent act to bring us here. This island has to be taken care off! So many things happening without our knowledge!" Mr. Guru replied. The gang hugged each other. ''What happened to Senthil?" Deb asked. "Talk talk later! Everyone get onto the boats. Bring those culprits onto the largest. I don't even want to see their faces!" Mr. Guru barked. There was hardly enough space in the boats. But they managed to divide themselves. "Vik! The corrupt policemen! We haven't told Mr. Guru!" Nadera whispered to Vikram. Vikram quickly ran to Mr. Guru and briefly told him the news. Mr. Guru secretly signalled 5 of his officers to arrest the men. What shock the men got when they were suddenly flunged onto the gound and handcuffed! The gang got into their own boat. Mr. Guru, Senthil, his sister, Shafiq's family and some officers into another, Faeez's family and some backup officers in another and finally, the largest of all boats was used to carry Ghazali, his men, the policemen and the rest of the officers. All 4 boats started off at the same time and sailed swiftly across the sea towards singapore. "What happened?!" The gang asked each other at the same time. Slowly, each pair explained what happened when they were tackling Ghazali's men. Nadera then explained how she found Firdaus and Deb, and how they found the corrupt policemen trailing them and how they handled the situation. When she came to the part where Deb was telling about Nisa at the desert, everyone, including Nisa gasped. "Hey! I purposely left that part out when i was telling our side of the story! How could you!" Nisa complained. "Hey, it was a very brave thing" Legolas said and kissed Nisa. "Yyour...your voice!" Nisa asked. "Yup, came back. Must have rested well at the cave" Legolas replied. Then Nury explained what happened at the cave and why Senthil was hurt to the other 4. "....He jumped infront and got hit instead. Mr. Guru burst in and shot Ghazali in his leg. If only he came in earlier, Senthil wouldn't have been shot..."When she ended her story, the boat was already nearing Singapore. Baihakki stood up and walked towards Vikram.

"...you...can...drive" Baihakki mumbled helplessly. Vikram kept a straight face. "Look..i'm..sorry""NO!. I am sorry. I should have just pushed those fans away." Vikram replied. "It's not your fault. I know the feeling of being surrounded by fans. You can't push them away. I was the stupid one to get jealous. I am sorry." Baihakki finished. The boat stopped at the harbour. The gang made their way out. Vikram and Baihakki looked at each other. They then gave each other a hug and a huge thump on each other's back. They then followed the rest out of the boat. Ambulances were already waiting for them outside the terminal. "Send all of them who's injured to the hospital. The rest, please follow me" Mr. Guru said. Baihakki, with his nose broken had no choice but to leave the gang. "I'll go with you." Zahira volunteered immediately. "I think I and Nury will accompany Senthil and his sister to the hospital too" Mrs. Mani volunteered. So, the gang parted. The rest followed Mr. Guru in his jeeps to the station.

"Now tell me EVERYTHING" Mr. Guru asked at his station. Although exhausted, they knew the urgency. So each took turns to explain, starting from how it all began at Northern Islands, Link cave. Then, after all that, Shafiq and faeez explained how they and their families were kidnapped from their homes and the gang continued the story of how all the planning happened and their adventure at the desert(they kindly excluded Nisa'a bravery act). "That Ghazali is really going to get it. And..this Mr. Philip? Missing is he? I will send an immediate notice to all police divisions to arrest his men and to find him." But at that rightful moment, Mr. Guru's handphone rang. "Sir! This is Kuppu! You told me and Bala to check the island one more time. We found a small fishing boat hidden behind a rock. And when we entered the cave, we saw a police officer coming out from one of the rooms. He tried escaping when he saw us but we caught him. Shall we bring him back?" "HAHAH! Oh yes, please do. Be careful alright? Bring the fishing boat along to. Load it into the ship...pity the fisherman whom he took the boat from. It was lucky i left a ship there for you guys. Load all the other items left in the cave or around the island into the ship too for evidence and come back here alrites? You guys don't deserve only a pizza, i will treat you all to dinner tonight! And a ticket to Vikram's new movie!" Mr. Guru replied and with that, hung up the phone. "I believe we caught...this Mr. Philip you were talking about at the cave. He will be arriving here soon. Please help to identify him. In the meantime, do rest her. It's very squeezy. I didn't know there would be a time where so many people will enter my office regarding just one case!" Mr. Guru replied. "If that Mr. Philip broke anything in my house to escape..." Firdaus mumbled. "Urm, Mr. Guru? About the movie, for all your help, i think i can sponsor" Vikram replied, smiling.


2 weeks later:

"WHOOHOOOOO!!!!!!" Nadera shouted. "Shut up!" Vikram replied shyly. "Who cares Vik? We have the whole theatre to oursleves!" Nadera exclaimed and shouted more. When the movie ended, they all left the theatre. "Thank you so much Vikram" Mr. Guru said. "No problem. It's my pleasure. I do this everytime my movie is released. Only this time, we have more members to fill up the empty seats" Vikram replied, nodding towards Shafiq, Faeez, Senthil, his sister, Mr. Guru, Bala and Kuppu. "Ya, cool isn't it? To be able to get a theatre room all to ourselves and to watch the movie F.O.C!" Nadera said excitedly, hugging Vikram. "You were great Vikram" Senthil commented. "AS ALWAYS!" The rest of the gang replied.


Well well, always a happy ending. With exams over, the girls had fun with the gang. And for their good hearts. Although they didn't study well, they passed all subjects. The news of the kidnapping even appeared in all newschannels and newspapers. The gang and the rest of their friends name was excluded ofcourse. They didn't want and publicity! Ghazali has been locked up in boys school. Mr. Philip and his men have been sacked and are bidding their time in prison. Senthil had recovered but has Asthma now and has to be careful that he does not do any very tiring work. The bullet had missed his heart by inches! We must thank God that he atleast survived and that all has went well. What an adventure! But this is never the end for our gang! What adventure will they have the next time? Stay tuned!
